This
is where it all started... A blue and white
Persian boy born in 1983, Sans-Rival Deneb Blue. We
grew up together, and at the time
when "Deni" died, 19 years old, the Persians had changed quite a bit
and didn't feel like the same breed anymore. So as I’d always been
fascinated about the Siamese temperament but felt they were too
shorthaired, I started looking for a Balinese. Soon Mirrormere Hannah
and Mirrormere Harry moved in – just as pets. They charmed all of us
and not much later a black Oriental male, Kattilan Big Time Operator,
came to live with us. Soon I was caught in the world of showing cats,
and a bit later I got interested in breeding, too. As soon
as I discovered the silver Orientals I new it was something for me and
in the summer of 2004 I got my first silver Oriental longhair female,
Ive von der alten Weide, and two shorthaired silvers, Kattilan
Shortfuse Sallee and Kattilan Secrut Weapin.
The
silver Oriental longhairs are my passion, even if I occasionally might
have litters with silver shorthairs. Breeding
means to me a great responsibility, and the health and temperament of
the cats born in our home are my main priorities. I also love the
combination of American elegance and European type seen in our
shorthairs and hope to be able to get some of that look into longhairs
as well.
